Maia has passed the Cambridge English exam and obtained the certificate before she came to China to start her life as an au pair. , who is excellent in English, believes that the children will make rapid progress in their language when Maia is with them. It is worth mentioning that Maia has a lot of experience in taking care of children. She is responsible for tutoring her younger brother in the family. She also helps neighbours take care of their 2-5 year old children. Maia also lived with her uncle and aunt in Australia for six years, taking care of their young Cousins, aged nine and 12.
Maia will accompany the children to play games in the yard, do crafts, cook meals, and actively help with housework to ease the parents' burden.
Since I've always loved looking after children, and my future plans involve languages, becoming an au pair seemed like the perfect fit.
For me, it means the opportunity to help a family, to be able to assist with their daily work and to take care of their children, while still learning Chinese and experiencing and learning another culture first hand.
