Laura is from Germany, her Chinese name is “Bai Fu Mei”(it’s like Snow White), her Chinese friend gave
her the name when she came to China the first time.She is sweet and outgoing, and she is not only excellent
in English, but also has studied Chinese language for 3 years.Laura has just graduated from high school, maj
-oring in art, professional at fine arts. She likes drama, cooking, baking, cycling, dancing, jogging, flute and
clarinet.It she is a rare and versatile young adult who is about to live 9-11 months in the host family.
Laura is also a positive student. She has had part-time job for six years. The main responsibilities were to
take care of children,and help them with their homework,help the host family with the housework. Laura is
very interested in Chinese culture and food,being an au pair in China can also improve her Chinese vocabulary.
She can cook very good food, she hopes to cook or bake with her host family, so that they will get familiar
with each other more quickly.
Beside host dad and host mom, there is a 12-year-old girl , she also likes music and sports. Flute is her
major. She loves it very much and works hard to learn. She is in seventh grade this year, fond of learning
languages. Her goal is to learn with a foreign master and then go to the golden hall of Vienna.
Two young girls with similar interests, with our help, have managed to live in the same family. In terms of
teaching children Laura will provide great help. She says she would like to help the host family to teach their
