This program is especially designed for young people, who are curious and adventurous. You will experience authentic Chinese culture by living with a Chinese family.

1. Program Duration

3, 6, 9 or 12 months (if the applicant finishes the previous program successfully, he/she can choose to extend the contract).

2. Obligations

Accompany, teach, and play with children using English.
Send and Pick up children from school or kindergarten.
Tidy your own bedroom and clean up after yourself

Share your  language and culture with the host family.

3. Placement Cities

Shenzhen or Guangzhou are your most likely destinations. They are both highly developed cities located in southern China. We also have oppurtunities in Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Wuhan, Foshan, Dongguan, Zhaoqing, Suzhou, Zhongshan, Zhuhai, etc.

What better way to learn a language other than to be immersed in it? Chinese is notoriously difficult, but with the help of Chinese classes provided by the program, and thousands of friendly locals on the street, learning Chinese will no longer be a nightmare. Come enjoy delicious food and cheap shopping. Celebrate with us traditonal holidays such as Spring Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival. You have guaranteed vacation time so that you can visit other fantastic cities and sceneries in China.

Why to take part in our Au Pair / Home Tutor program?
As a participant of our program, you will see the China hidden from the tourist’s eyes. Most host families are located in the two neighboring cities of Shenzhen and Guangzhou. On the surface, their skyscrapers and city lights are common to many cities around the world. However, the real beauty of China is preserved in the hearts of its people. By living in a Chinese household, you may discover a special reverence for tradition. For example, a bride may wear a white wedding gown, but still hold a traditional ceremony. A sick patient will take modern medicine, but still drink ancient herbal remedies. A child will study English, but also the Analects of Confucius. You can not experience a culture fully unless you interact intimately with it. The magic comes from your ability to participarte in and learn from the daily lives of Chinese people.

Making a difference in Children’s lives

You may be the first one they hug in the morning, and the last one they want to say goodbye to at night. You will see the fruit of your hard work as your host child's English improve, and become  part of the family. Not only will you make an impact on a young life, but a whole family's. You may look back on your time here as one of the most memorable of your life.

• 1500 RMB of spending (pocket) money per month
• Duty time of no more than 35 hours per week, with 1.5 days off per week
